Are you seeking security or adventure?

As I get older I feel I need to seek security and leave adventure on the back burner. I have never craved adventure. I have sought security all my life because I had to have structure. Anything beyond that caused fear set into my every day. My home life kept the fear flourishing. I had no friends until I was 15 or 16. Lynn had become my best friend. Her exuberance and bravery brought me out of my shell. I began living. We had so much fun.

The day came where my parents and I moved away. She eventually got married and started a family. I missed our friendship. I went back toward security. Life was boring but safe.

We have found each other again. We both have changed and she still has exuberance. We talk on the phone sometimes. She lives in Georgia and I live in Alabama. Our hearts embrace one another from afar.
