What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

At the age of 61 I have no career or am I interested in a career. I have a job. I am working toward my retirement.

Since my high school graduation, I have worked several jobs. Each job had no room for advancement. I had no college degree. No experience. Yet they hired me. Each job lasted 10 years or so. I felt secure working for a long time. Whenever they ended I grew anxious until the next one.

When I was young, I considered law enforcement but that quickly became mute. Since my family was poor, I had to find work after high school. My family needed the money. My father was a drunk with a sixth grade education. My mom was a nurse. The only bread winner. Life was awful.
