Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.

Several years ago I was at an opening for a Christian book store here. There was a lot of people there. I was a staff member at that church. Along with large group of other staff members, church leaders were there. Every one, except me, were in little clicks or groups talking and eating something. I was in a corner all by myself watching every one else. I felt alone in a building full of others.

I do that automatically now. When I’m part of a huge group of people, I have a tendency to move away from them into a corner or the other side of the room. I feel uncomfortable in crowds. No one talks to me.
