Do you see yourself as a leader?

I never see/saw myself as a leader. I’ve always been a follower. I must say I’ve never followed a bad crowd. I kept to myself. I don’t have the personality type to be a manager or any type of leader.

I remember once, when I worked for a local church, I had a leadership role in their nursery, my boss told me I was a grandmother type to the other workers. That comment hurt my feelings. Since then I refuse to be a leader. He was not an understanding leader. He didn’t uplift his employees.

I am very happy where I work at now. This company has been very helpful and understanding toward me, especially during my diagnosis of cancer and my treatments. I appreciate them very much. I’m glad I work there.
