Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.

It’s hard for me to interview someone. I pretty much keep to myself. With the heat like it is here, I wouldn’t want to interview the mailman or mailwoman. Their vehicle is not air conditioned.

I thought I would interview my daughter. I spend a lot of time with her. We talk about everything. We laugh about many things.

We do talk about her disability. She was born with a type of spinal muscular atrophy called Kugelberg-Welander disease. This affects her arms, legs, and neck. She can’t walk. She has been in a wheelchair since the age of three. She is very smart. She is very social. She loves interacting with other people.

She told me once she is thankful for the way she is because it has made her blessed. She has a wonderful support group, her family, helping her every day. Also, the professional staff who take care of her.
